What is Aluminum Rod

An aluminum rod is a solid cylindrical bar made primarily of aluminum metal. This metal rod is manufactured through various processes, such as extrusion, casting, or drawing. Extrusion is the most common method, where heated aluminum billets are forced through a die to produce rods with a specific shape and size. Casting involves pouring molten aluminum into molds to solidify into rod form, while drawing involves pulling aluminum through a die to reduce its diameter and increase its length.

Aluminum Extrusion Bars

Our Solid aluminum rods can be made from different types of aluminum alloys, each with its own characteristics. Common aluminum alloys include 6061, 6063, and 7075. Each alloy has different strength, corrosion resistance, machinability, and conductivity properties.

An aluminum extrusion bars is a solid cylindrical piece of aluminum with a uniform diameter. It is typically used in applications that require strength, stability, and structural support. This metal rod finds common use in construction, automotive, and manufacturing industries. It can be employed as reinforcement in concrete structures, a handle or support in machinery, or a component in electrical wiring systems. The aluminum rod offers excellent corrosion resistance, lightweight properties, and good thermal conductivity.

Marine Aluminum Rod

Marine aluminum rods refer to metal rods specifically designed and suitable for marine or maritime applications. These rods are manufactured with the properties required to withstand the harsh marine environment, including exposure to saltwater, humidity, and corrosion.

Our Marine-grade aluminum rods have enhanced corrosion resistance and strength. The most common marine aluminum alloy is 5083 aluminum, which is known for its excellent seawater resistance and weldability. Other alloys, such as 6061 and 6063, may also be used for certain marine applications.
